I loved seeing after his death the worlds reaction and how misunderstood he really was.

His character arc was wrapped up really smoothly even for the little time he was in the story.

Just generally speaking I like the Spanish culture and influences that can easily be seen in this arc.

We saw the idea of a corrupt tyrant with Alabasta, but with Dressrosa I honestly think it just did it better.

The amount of time that passed in the story until this arc was the perfect time for this arc to begin.

There was already a good foundation in the world for tons of events like Sabos return and Laws backstory to happen at this time.

Its been a while since weve seen these gauntlet-style fights in the series where we have one of the Straw Hats or their allies fighting against the enemies of this arc, in this case the Donquixote Pirates.

It was interesting to see each of their own personal stories and how theyve been affected by joining a crime syndicate.

Its a great arc, but it suffers from being too long in my opinion in both the anime and the manga.
